Unbeaten Texas, Indiana and Georgia Headline Week 6 Slate
College football's Week 6 schedule opens at noon ET with two unbeaten Big Ten teams colliding in Lincoln, where No. 7 Indiana visits Nebraska in FOX's Big Noon Kickoff window, and builds toward a primetime SEC showdown between 5-0 Georgia and Alabama. The day also features No. 1 Texas facing Oklahoma in Dallas and a ranked Big Ten matchup between UCLA and Oregon. Rankings reflect the AP Top 25 released Oct. 4.
Indiana and Nebraska enter their meeting both 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Hoosiers routed Rutgers 47-15 last week, while the Cornhuskers beat Maryland 48-23 and have won every game this season by at least 18 points. Indiana holds the series edge after a 56-7 win in the teams' most recent meeting in 2024. Elsewhere on the FOX-family slate, Houston (4-1) visits Kansas State (3-1) in a Big 12 matchup, Ohio State (4-1) hosts Maryland (2-3), and Minnesota (4-1) travels to Purdue (2-3) after beating Michigan last week. Struggling programs Illinois and Michigan State, both 2-3 and winless in Big Ten play, square off on FS1, while Nevada-UTEP and Hawaii-Arizona State round out additional matchups involving Mountain West and Big 12 teams. ipbl prime division women
The marquee national games carry historical weight. Texas, ranked No. 1 for a fourth straight week, has won the last two Red River Rivalry meetings with Oklahoma, 34-3 in 2024 and 23-6 in 2025; both teams enter off a Week 5 bye. UCLA (4-0) and Oregon (3-1) meet with the Ducks holding a five-game winning streak in the series, last meeting as ranked opponents in 2022. Georgia and Alabama, both 5-0 and 3-0 in SEC play, split their two meetings in 2025 - Alabama won in September, Georgia in December - with the Crimson Tide scoring at least 45 points in every game this season.
Indiana at Nebraska and Houston at Kansas State air on FOX; Illinois at Michigan State, Nevada at UTEP and Hawaii at Arizona State air on FS1; Ball State at Northwestern, Maryland at Ohio State and Minnesota at Purdue air on BTN. All eight FOX-family games stream on FOX One. Texas-Oklahoma and Georgia-Alabama are available through ESPN Unlimited via the FOX One/ESPN Bundle, while UCLA-Oregon airs on CBS.
